Exploring, Hiking & Backpacking Grayson Highlands via Appalachian Trail Part 1 | Wild Ponies Hike
Description
My friends and I did a total of 27 miles within Grayson Highlands, 17 or so are pictured in this video. We started out at Grindstone Camp and hiked clockwise along a trail that parallels Fairwood Road to the Appalachian Trail, following that to the pinnacle of Wilson Ridge for a beautiful sunset. Another amazing area to go backpacking. A large part of the loop we did was along the Appalachian Trail!
This is the most similar link I can find: https://intothebackcountryguides.com/trail-guides/mount-rogers-grayson-highlands-loop-backpacking-guide however, we hiked the opposite direction as this and we stayed on the AT even when it made the loop a big bigger over close to Old Orchard.

As always, practice Leave No Trace principles when hiking!
