Megathon: A Show of Support for Female Bodybuilding
Published on Oct 7, 2015
A video I edited (and in some cases, shot myself) from my other channel:
Anyone who knows me, knows too that I'm a huge Rush (the band) fan, and am an ardent supporter of female bodybuilding. Rush seems to be doing just fine without my support, but female bodybuilders are facing unfair criticism by both an unforgiving public, and an all too fickle sports industry.
The latter is in itself, probably due to the pressure put on them by big pharma, and its preference for unhealthy people... its future customer base. For these reasons and others, that's why I decided to combine two of my loves, Rush, and female bodybuilding --- and to make this video.
Using the song "Marathon," the cut is fast paced and energetic, just like the women being presented here. I've incorporated footage I shot myself, along with various other efforts, and made a little video that I'm pretty proud of.
More importantly, it shows women bodybuilders in a light that will hopefully be accepted by the public, who, no matter how mindless about some things --- will see here that the sport is something to be admired and respected, along with the women who work so tirelessly to create something as unique as they are.
